With a deep sadness in our hearts we must inform you that patron of sport fly fishing Jill Mandeno passed away today. Jill was one of the founding members of fly fishing sport in New Zealand, she has been actively involved for many years in FIPS-Mouche activities, she was also considered as senior advisor of FIPS-Mouche Board, actively taking part in the FIPS-Mouche events as a captain/manager of the national team of New Zealand. Additionally she represented SFFNZ as a delegate at many CIPS/FIPS congresses always with a clear focus on transparency, clearness and fairness in our sport. On behalf of our fly fishing community we send Jill’s family and friends our deepest sympathies at this most difficult time. Jill, we are grateful for all effort you have done for FIPS-Mouche and we all will miss her very much. RIP….
